About Emerson

His interest in music began at an early age under the influence of his father and later entered the Institute of Fine Arts of the State of Colima. Four years later he graduated as a Classical Guitar Master, thus beginning his Musical Career.

 

He has participated in important cultural events, jazz festivals, seminars and master classes with important musicians such as: Ken Bassman, Tom Kessler, Aarón Cruz, Ari Hoennin, Alex Mercado, Agustín Bernal, Antonio Sánchez, Remi Alvarez, Rolando Luna, Gabriel Puentes, Tod Clouser, among others.

 

His interpretation and own style are due to the collaboration with various national and international artists and in groups such as: La rondalla de la U. de Colima, versatile groups, trios, jazz quartets, blues band, rock. And that's where he started as an author of songs such as: Tequila Time, Que Lata, Morena, among others.

 

His experience and musical essence have led him to perform in prestigious companies and hotels such as: Hacienda San Antonio, Cuixmala, Grand Bay, Las Hadas, El Tamarindo, Careyes, Four Seasons and more.

 

Whether as a soloist, duo, trio or quartet, Emerson Magaña is distinguished by his quality, professionalism and interpretation, and is undoubtedly the best option for special events such as: Private Dinners, Weddings, Receptions, House Concerts, etc.; alternating musical Latin genres such as: Bossanova, Bolero, Salsa, Cuban, Trova and Tango.
